Christmas nails!

These are the nails I wore to my family Christmases. Everyone had a great time and we all enjoyed each others' company :) My awesomesauce boyfriend got me a bottle of Essie (not my only present), which I'll show off in another post.

The first time I tried stamping my accent nails, I stamped with Mash-50, but I just could NOT get them to come out right, so I gave up and tried something different, which you see below.

I'm getting back into the stamping groove! My mom got me a $100 gift card to Amazon, so I could spoil myself a little for my birthday (my dad gave me a check, which mostly went towards bills. Ugh, adulthood!), and I bought some Winstonia stamping plates (as well as a crapton of other nail art stuff, so stay tuned as it all comes in!).

Finding a green that will stamp on red is REALLY hard. Finally I gave up and stamped red on white and green on textured white.

For my main nails I stamped Sinful Colors' Under 18 on Sinful Colors' Tokyo Pearl using W120, and Sinful Colors' HD Nails on OPI Liquid Sand Solitaire using BM-205 on my accent nails.

The first time I tried stamping my accent nails (the plaid in the top pic) I stamped with Mash-50, but I just could NOT get them to come out right, so I gave up and tried something different.

The shimmer of both Under 18 and Tokyo Pearl made the nails look kinda like candy canes :) It was very interesting to look at, but I couldn't get it to capture on the camera :(

Christmas Trees! Pictures! Boyfriends!

My boyfriend is the bestest! He fixed my phone! Pictures may now commence!

These were the nails I wore for the BF's family Christmas event.

I used a layer of Sinful Colors' Under 18, and two layers of Hit the Floor by Pure Ice. I then stamped the trees using Maybelline Color Show in Bold Gold using Gals' GA27 stamping plate.

I very much liked these nails! I had intentionally attempted to stamp with a green, but none of the greens I own stamped brightly enough to be seen. Guess they just weren't opaque enough.

Anyone have a suggestion for greens to stamp with?

A picture of my awesomesauce boyfriend for your pleasure. And he's wearing a bow!

Valentine's Day!

I meant to post this yesterday, but went on a surprise date instead! I had fun!
Now I'm all lonely on Valentine's day :(
Just kidding, I have you guys! :D

I. LOVED. THESE. NAILS. Love love love love love!!! I was SO NOT excited to make them and then I got SO EXCITED to wear them!

Don'tcha just love it when that works out??

These were a little hard, because I had JUST cut my nails down. I'm not proud of all of them, but I LOVE the way my ring finger is! See the four hearts?

My left hand (oddly enough) didn't turn out so well, and frankly I'm kinda ashamed of them :/ They were still awesome to wear, it's just they didn't have the AWESOMENESS of this hand.

I hope you lovelies had a wonderful Valentine's Day :)

Happy New Year's!

And auld acquainted be forgot! Something-something hang sign!
...Yeah I dunno the words.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Ah a fresh, new, clean slate! ...Or another day, whatever.

I've been planning these nails for a while now. It's funny, I get so excited about doing my nails for a holiday and then I never actually do the designs I had planned... Okay not so funny I guess. More kinda pathetic, really....

ANYWAYS!

Silver and Gold
I couldn't get a good pic for the life of me :( But this is a great pic of the color in the light, so yay?
These were really cute and really fun to wear :)

Hope you had a great New Year's Eve, and that your New Year's Day wasn't too hungover! I got the best New Year's Kiss ever from the sweetest little boy in the world ♥

May your new year be full of luck, health, and happiness!

1000 Views and A Guest Star

I've hit the 1,000 views mark! This may not be huge for some bloggers, hitting 1,000+ every day, but I've had several blogs over the years, and never got this high. This is BIG for little ol' me! I want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who visits and/or promotes my blog. I love you all from the bottom of my heart ♥

To celebrate, I did acrylics on my friend's fingers, and did some really pretty "Peppermint" watermarbling and stamps!

She wanted really short nails, as she types all day.
I'm still having an issue cleaning cuticles.... buuut it was 1am and we were both ready to pass out.
No, I'm not trained in acrylics, and I used the cheap Kiss set from Walmart. I learned watching my mom get manicures by her friend, and these aren't great as I haven't had a lot of practice yet, but they're still hanging on.

Heaven, the nail model/guest, writes: "I absolutely love my nails! The pride you took on making them perfect and being sure I was happy with them was amazing. The water coloring you did on them is absolutely beautiful and the way you cut them to a perfect length so I can work in my every day life was perfect. I love my nails they are awesome."

Santa Nails

The Doctor (or Santa, whichever you prefer to believe) is gearing up to make his trip around the world, and I'm SO not ready! No tree, no decorations, presents still unwrapped, and I've had ONE glass of eggnog (and it wasn't even spiked *sadface*).

BUT my hands are ready! Red coat, gold buckle, black belt comin' atcha!

Tried to get the white to look fluffy... I don't think I did very well :/
Ho, ho, ho!
Macro is NOT cooperating today :/

I'm starting to feel festive already :D

I used Sinful Colors' Ruby Ruby, Maybellene's Color Show in Bold Gold, Pure Ice's Black Rage and Superstar!, and NYC's Matte Me Crazy for the topcoat.
So are they festive enough, or is it missing green?
