Epic Tenth Doctor, Doctor Who Nails!

My girlfriend Sarah is a HUGE Doctor Who fan, specifically for the 10th Doctor. SO as a treat for her trip (she's visiting from California for a few days) I did her nails a la David Tennant's Who.

She LOVES them, won't stop thanking me for them (seriously, sweetie, knock it off!).

So here we go!

Bases for Dalek, TARDIS, and the galaxies.

Bases for 10th Doctor 3D Glasses, Converse, and the galaxies.

On her, I used a basecoat by Jordana. One of her nails recently broke, and was short, so I put the 2 coats of the Garlic Growth base on that one and the rest of them had Strengthening.

Next, I started freehanding the accent nails.

The Tardis and a Dalek

Then I added the Galaxy nails.

They turned out well :)

Sarah is very happy with these, and I am too :D I wish I'd used smaller details on the Dalek, but other than that I have no regrets!

More Pinterest Nails

Hey guys! Sorry I've been so quiet, I've just been so busy! Still trying to find a car, hoping Memorial Day will bring on good deals...

On to the nails!

I tried to replicate these nails that I found on Pinterest. I used a glow-in-the dark pink. 

So to do this look, I taped my nails half and half, and then took a brush that I'd scraped almost dry.

One of the trends I've noticed on pinterest is almost-bare nails. I've been shunning it for a while, because I don't like the look of my naked nails.

But I tried it anyways.

I don't regret it, that sh*t was GORGEOUS.

Blue and Silver

I have no clue where I came up with this one. I think it was just that I liked the colors (Sinful Colors' Tokyo Pearl and Pure Ice's Strapless).

I thought they'd be pretty together, and I was right :)

I just did two coats of the Tokyo Pearl and then did a gradient using the Strapless.

If you look closely, you can see that I'm trying to cleverly hide a huge chip.

I painted some studs and stuck them on. I really like the effect

 This was a really quick and easy mani. The hardest parts were choosing the colors and taking the pictures. I got the studs from DollarNailArt.
